Les Oisons
This well appointed gite was complemented by the welcoming smiles of our hosts Steve and Avril. The peaceful location, occasionally interrupted by bird song was a delight. We will not tell anybody about Les Oisons as it is so good; we want to keep it to ourselves.

Another fantastic holiday at Les Oisons, the girls enjoyed the pool. Food in Montagrier and Les Griffins in Bourdeilles was excellent. The chateaux at Hautforte well worth a visit. Also the market at Riberac and Brantome. Thanks Avril and Steve for helping make the holiday.

We have had a lovely time at Les Oisons this week. We have thoroughly relaxed both by the pool and at the house. We can recommend the Auberge at Montagrier and Moulin de Pont at Lisle. We canoed from Brantome to Bourdeilles. Thanks Steve and Avril for their hospitality and help.

Amidst the frantic pace and pressure of modern life, occasionally there appears a beacon of tranquility and calm when it's least expected. Living at Les Oisons for the past two weeks has been such a time with only the birds, the breeze the sun and peaceful solitutude that an oasis like this can bring. We have had the most wonderful time here enjoying the quiet, boisterous activity in the pool and visits to many wonderful towns and villages, caves, restaurants and markets in the area. Thanks Avril and Steve for letting us share their outstanding home and location, the perfect venue for a perfect holiday, we will return to enjoy this wonderfully relaxing location again.

Le Papillon
What a wonderful place to stay on our first visit to the is region of the Perigord. We arrived as the cherries ripened, watched the hay making, the corn harvested and leave as the sunflowers begin to bloom. We have watched birds of prey, seen wildlife, the butterflies and listened to the frogs and cicadas in the evenings. Everywhere is steeped in history from medieval churches to ancient washhouses. Our thanks to Steve and Avril for providing such lovely accommodation at Le Papillon in a beautiful setting their hospitality and advice has been given unreservedly. Do visit the shop in Grand Brassac, the Auberge in Montagrier and find Chez Mia in Mareuil. We hope to be able to return again in the future.

We have had a lovely week here in Le Papillon, the pool was very welcome as the weather was scorching. We had an enjoyable afternoon canoeing down the Dronne - beautiful scenery lots of old mills and weirs. Riberac market on a Friday is very good,very busy and colorful. Avril and Steve have been the perfect hosts, friendly, knowledgeable and clearly love this beautiful part of the Dordogne. Hope to see you again soon.

We have had a wonderful 10 days here. It was our first time in this area and it won't be the last. It is so quiet peaceful and relaxing . We have visited a few chateaux and sat by rivers but the highlight for us was a visit to Brantome. Thank you Steve and Avril for being so friendly and welcoming and for sharing the produce from your vegetable garden. We hope to see you again.

We think most superlatives have been used already. We enjoyed the friendliness and fruits of your veg plot as well as the rock music and gazing at the night sky looking out for meteors. Our very best wishes to you both we enjoyed our stay immensely.

What can we say about our holiday, accommodation fabulous, hosts outstanding. Airline lost our cases and Avril and Steve stepped in to sort everything out for us. had a totally relaxing holiday and wish to say a big think you for making our stay so complete fresh veggies and salad made it a bonus at dinner. Good luck to you both again, words cannot say enough.
